A Forgotten practice on Fridays

🌷Allaah says:

‎قُضِيَتِ الصَّلَاةُ فَانتَشِرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَابْتَغُوا

‎ مِن فَضْلِ اللَّهِ وَاذْكُرُوا اللَّهَ كَثِيرًا لَّعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ

“But when the (Friday) Prayer is ended, disperse in the land and seek Allaah's Bounty, and remember Allaah much so that you may PROSPER.”

(Surah al-Jumu'ah : 10)

Once we’re done with our Friday Salaah, we should...

"Remember Allaah much"

That’s what Allaah is telling us to do.

But we forget.

We get really busy in the dunya.

After salaah, some of us go eat or sleep, some go shopping, some go hang out with friends; and some go back to work.

All of that is permissible.

But don’t forget Allaah even when you get busy.

Keep your tongue moist with the dhikr of your Rabb.

Remember Him under ALL circumstances and remain conscious of Him at ALL times.

🍃 Ibn Katheer said in his tafseer of this aayah:

“while you are buying and selling, giving and taking, remember Allaah much and do not let this life busy you from what benefits you in the Hereafter.”

(Tafseer ibn Katheer)

🍃 Indeed the Prophet ﷺ said:

“Whoever enters the marketplace and says

‎لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ ، وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الحَمْدُ ، يُحْيِي وَيُمِيتُ ، وَهُوَ حَيٌّ لاَ يَمُوتُ ، بِيَدِهِ الخَيْرُ ، وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ

“Laa ilaaha ill-Allaahu wahdahu laa shareeka lahu, lahu’l-mulku wa lahu’l-hamdu, yuhyi wa yumeet wa huwa hayyun laa yamoot, bi yadihi’l-khayr, wa huwa ‘alaa kulli shay’in qadeer.”

“There is no god but Allaah Alone, with no partner or associate; to Him belongs sovereignty and to Him be all praise; He grants life and causes death, and He is ever-living and will never die; in His Hand is all goodness and He has power over all things),’

Allaah will record for him one thousand thousand good deeds, and will erase from his record one thousand thousand bad deeds, and will raise him one thousand thousand degrees.”. (at-Tirmidhi 3428; hasan by al-Albaani in Silsilat al-Ahaadeeth as-Saheehah 3139).

🍃 Mujahid said:

"A servant (of Allaah) will not be among those who remember Allaah often, until he does so while standing, sitting and lying down.”

🍃Ibn al-Qayyim said:

“If you could hear the sound of the pens of the angels writing your name among those who remember Allaah, you would DIE out of joy.”

So Revive this order of Allaah.

Make a LOT of dhikr, duaa, Istighfaar and salaah on the Prophet ﷺ.

Practice it regularly every Friday after Jumu’ah salaah and watch yourself prosper.

Allaah never breaks His Promise.
