🌿ANSWER🌿
There is a certain message making it’s rounds on social media in regards to a “special wazeefah” for the third Friday of Ramadhaan.
But there’s absolutely NO proof of any “special wazeefahs” for Fridays in Ramadhaan or for ANY Friday of the entire year.
In fact there’s no concept of “wazeefahs” at all, from the Qur’aan or authentic practice or teachings of the Prophet ﷺ for anything.
In the Arabic language, the word “wazeefah” means a “job”.
And nothing more.
Wazeefahs are a “Sufi” concept and have nothing to do with the authentic teachings and practice of the Prophet ﷺ or his Sahaabah.
🔺How do we know it’s wrong?
ALL acts of worship are 'tawqeefi' which mean that nothing is permitted as Ibaadah except that which is prescribed and proven by the Qur'aan and the Sunnah of the Prophet sal Allaahu alayhi wa sallam.
So when we look at the Qur’aan and the authentic practice and teachings of our beloved Prophet ﷺ, we see that there’s NO EVIDENCE that the Prophet ﷺ ever read any special “wazeefah” for the third Friday of Ramadhaan, nor did he read ANY wazeefah EVER for ANY THING.
If it was something good, wouldn’t he Sal Allaahu Alayhi wa Sallam have read this himself and taught the sahaabah about it as well?
But he didn’t.
And neither did the Sahaabah.
So why do something that’s not prescribed in the Deen?
It doesn’t matter “who” is saying it.
If it’s not proven from the actions or teachings of the Prophet ﷺ, then there’s NO NEED to do it.
🔺Bid’ah brings the CURSE of Allaah!
Any act of Ibaadah that’s not proven from the Sharee’ah counts as Bid'ah and bid’ah is a SEVERE sin.
It’s so severe that it may even incur the WRATH of Allaah, may Allaah protect us.
🍃The Prophet sal Allaahu Alayhi wa sallam said:
“Whoever innovates or accommodates an innovator then upon him is the curse of Allaah, His Angels and the whole of mankind.”
(al-Bukhaari 12/41 and Muslim 9/140)
🍃 Sufyan ath-Thawree said:
“Innovation is MORE PLEASING to IBLEES THAN SIN, since a person makes repentance from sin but does not repent from innovations!”
🔺The Prophet ﷺ will disown such a person!
On the Day of Judgement, the Prophet ﷺ will disown the one who introduces “new” ways of worship in the Deen.
🍃 The Prophet sal Allaahu Alayhi wa sallam said:
“I will be ahead of you in reaching my fountain, and there will be people who will be prevented from reaching it, therefore, I will say:
'Yaa Rabbi! These are my followers!'
It will be said:
'You do not know what they innovated and altered after you (i.e., after your death)!
Therefore, I will say: “AWAY FROM ME! AWAY FROM ME!”
(al-Bukhaari and Muslim)
🔺Sin upon sin!
It's a HUGE responsibility on us when we say something about the Deen and if it's not correct, we're SINFUL in the sight of Allaah and ANSWERABLE to Him for our actions.
And not only will we ourselves be sinful, but we will ALSO be RESPONSIBLE for the MISGUIDANCE of whoever will read the wrong information that “WE” forwarded without confirming its authenticity.
🍃 The Prophet sal Allaahu Alayhi wa sallam said:
"Whoever starts a bad thing in Islaam, and others do likewise after him, there will be written for him a burden of sin like that of those who followed him, without it detracting in the least from their burden.'" (Muslim)
🔺It is a lie
🍃The Messenger of Allaah Sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa Sallam said:
“It is enough lying for a man to speak of everything that he hears.” (Muslim)
🔺HELP STOP FALSEHOOD from spreading
It's our DUTY as a Muslim to advise politely and try to correct and stop anyone who spreads wrong information about the deen.
Otherwise we become SILENT PARTNERS in letting that wrong information or bid'ah spread.
So SPREAD THIS MESSAGE.
Tell everyone about the dangers and the humongous sin of spreading false information and lies about our beautiful Deen.
This way, maybe we can stop wrong information and misguidance from spreading.
May Allaah guide us to TRULY comprehend HOW to implement the Deen instead of just following blindly and without understanding. Ameen.
And Allaah knows best.
