🔺What they claim “ Tuesday March 3/2020 all the Muslims around the world will pray two rak’aat to Allah to remove the Coronavirus from earth and supplicate to get his mercy. The prayer will be all at the same time around the world 3:00 pm Eastern time (Canada and USA) and 8:00 pm GMT. I hope millions of Muslims pray at the same time to eliminate this epidemic and pandemic disease.” ✅ REALITY ✅ May Allaah have mercy on us and protect us all from all kinds of diseases and calamities Ameen. However, reading two rak’aat ‘collectively’ this way to achieve a specific goal is NOT the way of the Prophet sal Allaahu Alayhi wa sallam. And this is certainly NOT the way to get rid of the coronavirus. Or any other disease for that matter. You see, reading two rak’aat is an act of ibaadah. And if we want to perform ANY act of ibaadah, we MUST have PROOF of that from the Qur’aan and/or authentic Sunnah of the Prophet sal Allaahu Alayhi wa sallam. If the evidence is there, we do it. But if the evidence is not there, we should stay away. When we look at the Qur’aan and/or the authentic practice or teachings of the Prophet sal Allaahu Alayhi wa sallam, we see NO EVIDENCE of the Prophet sal Allaahu Alayhi wa sallam or his Sahaabah reading two rak’aat collectively to solve ANY problem. When the Sahaabah were facing the plague in Shaam, they did NOT go around telling each other to read two rak’aat to get rid of the plague. Rather they remembered the instructions of the Prophet sal Allaahu Alayhi wa sallam regarding epidemics and implemented that. 🍃 The Prophet sal Allaahu Alayhi wa sallam said: "The Plague was a punishment which Allaah used to send on whom He wished, but Allaah made it a blessing for the believers. None (among the believers) remains patient in a land in which plague has broken out and considers that nothing will befall him except what Allaah has ordained for him, but that Allaah will grant him a reward similar to that of a martyr." (al-Bukhari 5734) 🍃And the Prophet sal Allaahu Alayhi wa sallam said, "Plague was a means of torture sent on some people before you. So if you hear of its spread in a land, don't approach it, and if a plague should appear in a land where you are present, then don't leave that land in order to run away from it (i.e. plague).” (al-Bukhari 3473) THAT’S what the Prophet sal Allaahu Alayhi wa sallam told us to do when faced with epidemic diseases. He Sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa Sallam did NOT tell us to gather everyone and read two rak’aat all together at the same time, when he was facing problems. And he told us to make duaa. Individually. And that’s what we should do too. ‼️OBJECTION‼️ So what’s the “harm” if I read two rak’aat with everyone❓ The “harm” in reading prayers all together this way is that this is NOT something that’s proven from the authentic practice or teachings of the Prophet Sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa Sallam Therefore it falls under ‘innovating’ in the Deen. And that’s a very HUGE sin. It will earn the WRATH of Allaah and He will BURN him in Hell! May Allaah protect us. Ameen. 🔺Allaah says: "And whoever opposes the Messenger after guidance has become clear to him and follows OTHER than the WAY of the believers (meaning the Sahaabah)– We will turn him where he wants to turn and ROAST him in HELL, and evil it is as a destination" (Surah an-Nisaa':115) 🔺The Prophet sal Allaahu Alayhi wa sallam said: “I will be ahead of you in reaching my fountain, and there will be people who will be prevented from reaching it, therefore, I will say: 'Yaa Rabbi! These are my followers!' It will be said: 'You do not know what they innovated and altered after you (i.e., after your death)! Therefore, I will say: “AWAY FROM ME! AWAY FROM ME!” (al-Bukhaari and Muslim) Astaghfirullaah imagine the Prophet sal Allaahu Alayhi wa sallam PUSHING AWAY and DISOWNING those who invent acts of worship that are NOT PROVEN from the authentic practice or teachings of the Prophet sal Allaahu Alayhi wa sallam and are involved in bid’ah! 🔺So what to do❓ Instead of indulging in bid’ah by praying these two rak’aat together to get rid of this disease, and earning the wrath of Allaah, a believer should do the following; - Do not panic. Instead have Tawakkul in Allaah -Each and everyone of us should make duaa on our own. -Read your morning and evening adhkaar and other supplications proven from the Sunnah -Do not travel to places like China -Avoid crowded places -Wash hands frequently -Cover your mouth and nose when sneezing -If you’re sick, stay home -Use common sense 🔺Remember this golden rule ALL worship HAS to be according to the practice and teachings of the Prophet sal Allaahu Alayhi wa sallam. It will ONLY be acceptable to Allaah “IF”and ONLY IF, it is done according to what His Messenger Sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa Sallam taught and practiced. Otherwise it will be rejected and a source of regret on the Day of Judgment. 🔺The Prophet sal Allaahu Alayhi wa sallam said: "Whoever performs an action NOT in accordance with our affair, then it is REJECTED." ( Muslim) May Allaah guide and protect us and all Muslims. Ameen. Please share this message as much as you can so that we can prevent people from falling in this sin and be guilty of bid’ah. This way you will be rewarded for enjoining good and forbidding evil from spreading. And Allaah knows best
