وَاصْبِرْ نَفْسَكَ مَعَ الَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ رَبَّهُم بِالْغَدَاةِ وَالْعَشِيِّ يُرِيدُونَ وَجْهَهُ "And keep yourself (O Muhammad) patiently with those who call on their Lord morning and afternoon, seeking His Face... " Here Allaah is telling the Prophet sal Allaahu Alayhi wa sallam to keep good company. Subhaan Allaah! Who could be stronger in his Imaan than the Prophet sal Allaahu Alayhi wa sallam?! And who could have more taqwa of Allaah than him Sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa Sallam?! Yet, STILL if Allaah is telling HIM to keep good company, then... WHAT ABOUT me and you?! Just shows how much our 'company' and friends influence us. 🍃 The Prophet Sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa Sallam said: "A person follows the way of his friend; so each one should consider whom he makes his friend." (Abu Dawood-- hasan by al-Albaani) So surround yourself with righteous people, those who remind you of Allaah and help you stay steadfast in the straight path. And stay away from those who will be a cause of embarrassment for you on the Day of Judgment.
